Life Stages & AAFCO Statement:
Chewy's Chicken Meal Mixer is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages including growth of large size dogs (70 lbs. or more as an adult).
Feeding Guidelines:
To Use As a Meal Mixer: Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to get a scoop, mix and serve. Meal Mixers can be fed to your pet dry, or rehydrated by adding 2 tablespoons of cool or warm water per 1/4 cup of food. Your pet will love the added taste, and you can be confident about the added nutrition Meal Mixers deliver. We recommend the following portions based on the size of your dog. Reduce other food portions accordingly to avoid overfeeding:
Number of 1/4 cup scoops per day (when mixed with other food):
Dog Size | Number of Scoops |
Small Dogs (up to 20lbs) | 1 Scoop/Day |
Medium Dogs (21-40lbs) | 2 Scoops/Day |
Large Dogs (over 40lbs) | 3+ Scoops/Day |
To Use As a Complete & Balanced Dinner: Meal Mixers meet the nutritional requirements to be fed as a complete and balanced meal for all dogs. To use as a meal, we recommend rehydrating by adding 1/2 cup of warm water per 1 cup of food. If feeding dry, make sure your dog drinks plenty of water at mealtime. Optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size, breed, and activity level. Please refer to the feeding chart below as an initial recommendation and adjust food amount as needed to reach desired weight goal.
Number of cups per day (when used as a complete meal):
Body Weight (lbs) | Adult # of Cups |
5 | 1/2 |
10 | 1 |
15 | 1 1/4 |
20 | 1 1/2 |
40 | 2 1/2 |
60 | 3 1/2 |
80 | 4 1/4 |
100 | 5 |
Puppies may need up to twice the amount of food as listed for an adult dog per weight. For pregnant and nursing dogs, please check with your veterinarian as requirements vary depending on the number of puppies and stage of lactation. Fresh water should be available at all times. Optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size, breed, and activity level. Please use the feeding guidelines as an initial recommendation and adjust food amount as needed to reach desired weight goal.
Other information:
Sudden changes in diet, including overfeeding, can sometimes result in digestive issues. Always introduce any new food by slowly mixing with your current diet for the first 7-10 days, increasing the amount of Stella & Chewy’s while decreasing the amount of the other brand.
