Life Stages & AAFCO Statement:

Feeding Guidelines:

Most healthy dogs that have an average activity level require a daily portion of raw food equaling approximately 2.5% of their total body weight. Dogs that are too thin and need to gain weight, or dogs that are highly active, may need daily portions equaling about 4% of their body weight. Always listen to your dog’s behavior and condition and observe their health carefully. Dogs and cats often have an adjustment period for switching to raw where they may eat less, but often much more, than they need as they may not be used to the unique qualities and nutritional density of a raw food diet.

Pregnant and nursing mothers, as well as growing dogs, will need 5-10% of their body weight in food per day. Adjust amount according to stage of growth or stage of gestation/lactation.

The chart below gives total daily feeding amounts for dogs of various weights and conditions. The amounts can also be used for feeding cats Albright’s as well. Albright’s recommends feeding your pet in at least two portions daily.
