Nature's Protection Herbal Collar is created from essential oils. Any essential oil, in rare cases, may cause an allergic reaction. However, the oils used in Nature’s Protection products are at low levels, with a low risk of potential reactions. Cats do not possess the enzyme glucuronyl transferase and therefore, their liver requires more time to eliminate phenolic compounds, which are found in some essential oils, as well as in medications such as aspirin or acetaminophen. Neither peppermint oil nor Virginia cedarwood oil, the essential oils used in this product, contain these compounds. Contact your veterinarian for more information.

Any excess length of the collar beyond the buckle should be cut off and disposed of.
